Dr. Lori Mowbray, OD, FCOVD
Founder, Certified Developmental Optometrist
Dr. Mowbray has dedicated over 35 years to changing lives through developmental optometry, focusing primarily on vision therapy. Over the course of her career, she has successfully treated thousands of patients, helping them overcome functional visual challenges that interfere with learning, performance, and daily life.
She founded the Minnesota Vision Therapy Center in 1995 with a vision (pun intended) to create a space where clinical excellence and compassionate care work hand in hand to deliver life-changing results. That vision continues to guide the work being done today, with a strong commitment to helping individuals reach their full potential through functional vision care.
Bringing Vision Therapy Home
Although Dr. Mowbray has retired from in-person care, she remains actively involved by leading the development and oversight of the home-based vision therapy program. After decades of hands-on experience, she recognized the need for greater access to quality vision therapy—especially in areas where in-person services are limited or unavailable.
The Vision Therapy at Home program was created to bridge that gap—and the response has been overwhelming. Now, families across the country and beyond can experience the benefits of high-level vision therapy from the comfort of home.
